The Resilient Farms & Families Advisory Board is pleased to invite you to a meeting on July 18th from Noon – 4:30 pm at the Wisconsin Riverside Resort, S13220 Shifflet Rd., Spring Green, dedicated to addressing the critical issue of mental health among farmers and farm families.
This meeting will bring together academic, industry, farming, and healthcare professionals to review the progress made in tackling farm stress over the past year and to set priorities for the upcoming year. The primary goal of the meeting is to break the stigma surrounding mental health in the farming community and foster an environment of support and resilience.
With the challenges that farmers face daily, mental health has become an increasingly important issue within the agricultural sector. The Resilient Farms & Families Advisory Board recognizes the urgency of addressing this issue and believes that by bringing together diverse stakeholders, we can make significant strides in supporting the mental well-being of farmers across Wisconsin.
During the meeting, attendees will have the opportunity to share their ongoing efforts to address farm stress in the region. The collaborative nature of the gathering will enable the exchange of ideas, best practices, and innovative approaches to improving mental health outcomes for farmers. By fostering dialogue between researchers, industry, healthcare professionals, and farmers themselves, we aim to develop comprehensive strategies that address the unique challenges faced by the agricultural community.
To register, please RSVP by completing the online form https://bit.ly/WisconsinResilientFarms.
