School Milk
Last week, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the “Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act” with a decisive majority of 330-99. This act permits the inclusion of 2% and whole milk in federal school meal programs, broadening the variety of milk options available to schools. Learn more about this legislation.
Despite a swift effort in the Senate to expedite the bill’s passage, which did not succeed, the initiative to incorporate whole milk in school programs is expected to persist into the following year, supported by both major political parties.
Trade

In a communication to Congress last week, these groups highlighted the adverse impacts on American agriculture. The coalition emphasizes the importance of maintaining stable trade relations to safeguard the interests of American dairy and agricultural sectors. The U.S. House of Representatives has concluded its sessions for the year, while the Senate remains active this week.
