In this video, Gaonou Thao, an Extension Outreach Specialist for Hmong Farmers, describes the benefits of soil testing and explains the process of collecting and submitting soil samples for analysis. Additional support was provided by Dan Marzu, Nutrient and Pest Management Outreach Specialist. This video is narrated in HMoob to address the needs of HMoob/Hmong farmers who may not be proficient in English.
The goal of this instructional video is to provide farmers with the knowledge and resources needed to cultivate ideal soil conditions that yield economical and productive harvests. By delivering information in HMoob, this video bridges language barriers and ensures that all farmers can access UW-Madison Extension services effectively.
